Who We Are
The church was first organized in 1949 and has seen many changes. Even as our world changes we realize that the message of hope, we are here to convey, has not changed.
Worldly hope, as defined in Webster’s dictionary is “A desire of some good accompanied by a slight expectation of obtaining it.” The Biblical word for “hope” is translated from the Greek word, elpis, and is translated in this way, “To anticipate with great pleasure and confident expectation.
As Christ-followers, we find rest in that sure, secure hope that we have through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God is trustworthy and although we cannot as yet see His promised future, we know that one day we will be with Him in heaven for all of eternity.
We believe that Christianity is so much more than a set of rules to follow…it is all about an intimate love relationship with Jesus Christ. That is where our search for hope will end….in Christ….and in Christ alone.
